Navy Ncis Will Sweep You Away!
Reviewed on 2003-11-25
Another of the new TV shows I like is Navy NCIS. It is a combination of JAG and CSI, a crime drama about real-life gritty military forensics investigators. Catch this new show on CBS every Tuesday at 7:00pm. Mark Harmon is the star playing Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. His team consists of a one-time homicide detective turned agent (Michael Weatherly), a goth forensics scientist (Pauley Perrette), former female Secret Service agent (Sasha Alexander), and jaded medical examiner Donald "Ducky" Mallard, played by TV legend David McCallum, one of my favorite actors from the old "Man From U.N.C.L.E." series. His eccentric and roguish character has a lot of potential. In 1964-68, he set teenage hearts fluttering as cool, Russian born Illya Kuryakin, fighting the evil crime organization THRUSH with Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) under the direction of Mr. Waverly, played by veteran actor Leo G. Carroll. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, McCallum just turned 70 but remains vibrant on the screen. The series has remained interesting and has the opportunity to bring in stars from JAG, already a big hit on CBS.
