Branson Bus Trip A Resounding Success!!
Reviewed on 2004-05-27
Joe Tinoco's May fan club bus trip was a huge success. Saturday morning 40 people boarded a luxury bus in Olathe bound for Branson and another fantastic trip lined up by Hope and Johnny Tinoco. Under the expert guidance of tour director, Rick Layne, the trip proceeded flawlessly.

Fan Club members were treated to a fabulous dinner at the White House Theatre followed by "The Showcase Jubilee" show featuring Joe Tinoco and Tamra Holden and a cast of wonderful singers and dancers. Joe and Tamra threw a special Sunday brunch for the club and entertained us with some of the best gospel songs I have ever heard. Joe announced a new gospel CD is now available for purchase.

In addition to some great meals, a trip to the Veterans Museum, a stop by Waltzing Waters, we also saw a fantastic show by Shoji Tabuchi.

Another special treat was being able to attend the Branson Awards Show at the White House. The 2003 Oz awards show was put on by the Branson Academy of Arts & Entertainment. Andy Williams won the Oz Diamond Award. Two performers from Joe's Showcase Jubilee Show won awards. 16-year-old Amanda Haffecke won the Female Youth Performer award and versatile Mike Bliss won the Comedian Award (he also sings and dances superbly). There was even a surprise visit by a George W. Bush imitator who looked the part as he presented some of the awards.

After a late night dinner at Smitty's in Clinton, we arrive home safe and sound Sunday evening. Don't forget to catch one of these semi annual trips by the fan club. Check out the ads in the Johnson's County Gazette and on this website. As a lady sitting next to me on the bus said "Hope's tours are the best. You can get the best bang out of your buck with this group."
