Theatre League (Kiss Me Kate)
Reviewed on 2003-08-28
(November 4-9th) Only 8 performances live at the Music Hall.

Five time Tony Award winning hit Kiss Me Kate comes to Kansas City. Cole Porter's hilarious, beloved musical turns a production of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew upside-down in this behind the scenes battle of the sexes. In this Broadway gem, Egotistical actor/producer Fred Graham and his ex-wife Lilli Vanessa bicker and romance their way through this unforgettable classic, featuring Martin Pakiedinaz's Tony Award-winning costumes and Cole Porter's timeless score. Some of the songs are: "Another Opening, Another Show", "Too Darn Hot," Wunderbar," and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare". The musical originally opened December 3, 1948 at the Century Theatre and played for 1,070 performances. Contact the Theatre League for more information at 816-421-1801. For tickets and the ability to instant charge call Ticketmaster at 816-931-3330.
