(Runs March 4 thru March 27)
This is one of the greatest American narratives; Little Women is based upon childhood memories. It continues to be relevant and moving, especially in a time of war. The Marches are a highly principled family used to hard work and sacrifice while their father is away in the army. The four sisters dream, play, prank, suffer illnesses, court and learn what it means to cherish true joy despite adversity. This play is by Louisa May Alcott, adapted by Marisha Chamertain, and directed by Late Buckley.
The Rep performs in Spencer Theatre at the Performing Arts Center on the UMKC campus, located just four blocks east of the Country Club Plaza. Call 816-235-2700 for more information or visit www.kcrep.org.
