American Heartland Theatre Sanders Family Christmas
Reviewed on 2004-11-15
In Crown Center (Runs through January 2, 2005)
Everyone is heading down to the American Heartland Theatre to enjoy a great Christmas show call Sanders Family Christmas.

The doors of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in the Blue Ridge Mountains open wide as the singing Sanders Family gather on Christmas Eve 1941. The country has just entered WW11, and this is the family's final show before 19-year old Dennis ships out with the Marines. It's a down-home, fun-filled holiday musical featuring many Christmas and bluegrass favorites.

The cast includes Olathe's own Deb Bluford who plays Mom and she swings on the piano. Other stars include Samuel Cohan as dad, John Gardiner, Stephanie Schweitzer, Sarah Crawford and Steve Anthony. Finally, Ken Remmert rounds out the musical evening with his happy accordion pieces. Call 816-842-9999 for more information or go to the Web at www.ahtkc.com
