After the Houlihan's location on the plaza closed the doors after 30 years, a new location in Fairway, Kansas just opened. The new address is 2820 West 53rd Street (the site of the former Fairway Grill). The classic menu is available plus some new dishes, including Trattoria Chicken Linquine and Pan-Seared Tilapia on Tuscan White Beans. We decided to try it out last Sunday and found the new Houlihan's delightful. I tried the homemade chicken noodle soup for a starter and their house salad. Both were excellent. For the main course I ordered fried shrimp and steak combo. The fried shrimp were large and probably the best I have ever had. The steak was prepared exactly as ordered and very tasty. A hot fresh roll and mashed potatoes accompanied the main dish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the service superb. And the prices were very reasonable. Try it yourself!
