Reviewed on 2004-08-04
Jimmy's new album "License to Chill" is out! You can listen to 16 new songs including his current hit "Hey Good Lookin". Special country guest appearances by Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Martina McBride, George Strait, Clint Black, Bill Withers, and Nanci Griffith make it even more special.

When you spot a smiling dude in a Hawaiian shirt, most likely it is Jimmy Buffett who has been around over 3 decades and earned many fans. His fans are referred to as Parrot Heads. Now he has become popular with country fans. His smash hit with Alan Jackson "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere" rocketed to #1 and typifies the kind of fun loving music Jimmy represents.

Jimmy was born in Pascagoula, Miss., on Christmas Day 1946. He learned to play the guitar in hopes it would help him meet girls. He obtained a B.S. degree in history and journalism. His first platinum album was 1977's Changes in Latitudes. He has written several books - and is one of only a handful of authors to reach No. 1 on the New York Times fiction and nonfiction best-selling lists. He owns a chain of Margaritaville Café bars, Cheeseburger in Paradise fast-food restaurants and lines of clothing, food and drink mixes.

A variety of music stars traveled to Jimmy's studio in Key West, Fla. to record the collaborative CD "License To Chill". Jimmy hs two daughters, Savannah Jame and Sarah Delaney, and an adopted son, Cameron. Pick up Jimmy's new CD online or at your favorite record store.
