| Sherrie and her bus driver, Dewey Jenkins, prevented a driver from leaving the scene of an accident while traveling north of Atlanta on I-75 recently. Austin was sitting near the front of the tour bus when the driver had to swerve suddenly to avoid a collision in front of him. The driver of one of the vehicles attempted to leave the scene, until he noticed two eyewitnesses were staring down at him from inside the bus. Austin and Jenkins called authorities and filed a police report, while Austin signed several autographs for the officers. Austin's next single, "Drivin' Into the Sun." the second single from her current CD, "Streets of Heaven", headed out for radio play on Feb. 23rd. |
