You know that feeling…when you want to belong and you try your hardest and it just is not the right fit. Well Sydney White knows it, too! Amanda Bynes is Sydney White in this comical look into the college years and the students that you encounter. Sydney goes to the University her mother attended. In hopes of finding a connection to her late mother, Sydney pledges herself to the sorority her mother belonged to. Only to find out it is not what she expected, and not matter how hard she tries she can not fit in.

Sydney decides to move into The Vortex, housing where all the outcasts live. There she lives with seven of the biggest dorks on campus. After seeing how the outsiders are left to fend for themselves, she decides to take a stand against the social hierarchy. What better way than to run for student council and initiate changes. Can Sydney’s hard work and dedication pay off? You can bet Sydney and her seven dorks will do whatever it takes to make this happen.

This is a great family film. Younger children would not understand a lot of the humor, but any fan of Amanda Bynes would love this. Yet again Amanda brings her comical act to the big screen with another hit. She is one of the younger talents with true abilities and a huge future ahead of her in this industry. The seven dorks were riotous. You could relate one of the seven to someone you know personally, and know that they feel the same way these guys did. This film was a pleasant surprise and I would recommend it for a family night out. 3.5 out of 4 stars!
