Early on I found that A Prefect Stranger was far from perfect. In this film Halle Berry portrays Rowena, an undercover reporter who is set on investigating and perhaps proving Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis) killed her friend Grace (Nicki Aycox). Going undercover is not easy when it comes to Harrison Hill, but she manages to seduce him and set aside any suspicion. It also helps that she has outside tech support from friend and former colleague Miles (Giovanni Ribisi). We see Bruce Willis portraying a wild character, Harrison Hill who seems to have a short fuse and is not afraid to show it.

Rowena is doing her best to investigate into this prominent manís life, but she is quickly getting backed into a corner. This movie suddenly takes a U-turn and goes into a completely unexpected direction. Up to the point of this turn I found this storyline to be very slow. You would assume a movie with Bruce & Halle would be grade A, but this movie fell flat. It lacked chemistry and barely kept me awake during the first half of the film.

The greatest part of the movie comes in the final minutes with a bate switch twist. It however did not save the disappointment experienced early on. The acting was good. Bruceís portrayal of a crazed businessman was fun to watch and Halle Berry stole the show with her performance. Sadly, her performance did not salvage the expectations of this film. If you wanted to see this movie wait, just make sure not to read or hear any of the spoilers, cause if you do you might as well save you money and not see it. After all the end is the only part of the movie worth seeing.
