Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson are strangers who met in Tokyo. Bill plays a character Bob Harris that travels to Japan to film a whiskey commercial while Charlotte (Scarlett) is a young woman tagging along with her photographer husband (Giovanni Ribisi). Unable to sleep, Bob and Charlotte cross paths one night in the luxury hotel bar. This chance meeting soon becomes a surprising friendship. Bob and Charlotte venture through Tokyo, having hilarious encounters with its citizens, and ultimately discover a new belief in life's possibilities. Sofia Coppola (daughter of the ramous Francis Ford Coppola) wrote and directs this fun film. This is one of Bill's best efforts and should be seen by the movie going public.
