| Will Ferrell stars as Phil Weston, an average Joe who’s had to put up all his life with his overly competitive father, Buck (Robert Duvall). When Phil decides to coach his 10-year-old son’s soccer team, his dad is also coaching another team that is one of the top teams in the league. They go head-to-head against each other and to extremes to win the championship trophy.
It is a lively comedy within a cutthroat competitive world of little league soccer. Everyone seems to enjoy Will Ferrell in this type of movie. The Kansas City area is big into soccer so this should be a huge hit. Audiences who attended the screenings found this to be a funny movie.
My two sons are coaches of soccer team and saw the sneak preview with their soccer teams. They said the movie was hilarious and gave it a great review.
