| Queen Latifah is back in a funny film from the Producers of Barbershop and the Producer of Bringing Down The House.
The story begins as Gina Norris (Queen Latifah) leaves Chicago and the crew of Barbershop, ending up in Atlanta trying to make a name for herself and her cutting-edge hairstyles as a posh Southern salon. But when her flamboyant, egotistical boss, Jorge (Kevin Bacon), becomes too critical, she leaves and decides to open her own shop taking the shampoo girl (Alicia Silverstone) and a few key customers (Andie MacDwell and Mena Suvari) with her. Gina risks it all to buy a rundown beauty shop and puts in the hard effort to get it going. She inherits an opinionated group of stylists (including Alfre Woodard, Golden Brooks, and Sherri Shepherd), a colorful clientele, and a sexy upstairs electrician (Djimon Hounsou).
It is an uphill battle and Jorge, her old boss tries his best to keep Queen down. What follows is a very funny story that will make you laugh. Enjoy this new comedy from MGM. |
