Ben Affleck, James Gandolfini, Catherine O'Hara, and Christina Applegate star in this early Christmas comedy. Ben plays successful businessman Drew Latham who finds himself alone at Christmas. After visiting his boyhood home and meeting the family now living there, he offers them a considerable amount of money to let him spend the holiday with them. Ben goes nuts and it gets wild as he tries to get everyone in the holiday spirit including their young son. They run all over town Christmas tree shopping, buying gifts and other traditional Christmas fun. Christina Applegate plays their daughter who returns home to find Drew driving her family nuts. Then things really get going Mike Mitchell directs. It was fun to see an early Christmas comedy.
