In 2002, "The Borne Identity" introduced us to Bourne, played by Matt Damon, a trained assassin attempting to recover his memory while evading shadowy figures from his past. This film became Universal's highest grossing domestic release of the year and the number one DVD/video rental of 2003.

Come re-enter the shadowy world where Bourne (Damon) finds himself again plagued by nightmares from his former life. Exotic worldwide locations serve as the backdrop for this espionage thriller. I enjoyed the scenery in India, Venice, Netherlands, Berlin, and Moscow. The cast includes Joan Allen, Brian Cox, Julia Stiles, Karl Urban and Franka Potente. The director is Paul Greengrass. Producer Frank Marshall states, "The biggest difference between the first film and this one is that the first film found Jason running from something. In this film, he has a goal. He's not just getting away from something, he has a purpose and a destination."

When the film begins, Bourne has been in hiding for two years but now he finds someone is pursuing him again. Treadstone, the covert, now dismantled operation that spawned professional assassins returns. The car chase near the end of the film is one of most exciting ever shot. Bourne follows clues to find out why he is being hunted down. The tale is exciting and ends in a way to make room for another chapter in the life of reformed killer, Jason Bourne.
