Van Diesel reprises his role as Riddick, the cunning criminal star of the hit Pitch Black from 2000. This time a war of planets is underway and Riddick lands in the middle of it. The Borg like enemy called Necromongers travel from planet to planet, destroying all who stand in their way. Once victorious, the conquered have a choice of joining their ranks or being destroyed.

As the film opens we find Riddick being pursued by bounty hunters who are quickly disposed of with Riddick taking off to find who hired them. There are plots and subplots, even planet hopping. You will see a lot of action and battles before the climax that makes you believe there may be another sequel.

A buff Van Diesel carries out the many fighting opportunities. He is joined by a stellar cast including: Alexa Davalos, Linus Roache, Colm Feore, Thandie Newton, Judi Dench, Alexa Davalos, Karl Urban and many more. David Twohy wrote and directed the film.

Although the story is a little confusing, science fiction fans should enjoy the action and fine special effects. Van Diesel fans will surely enjoy his tough disposition to win against all odds.
