Jim Caviezel, hot off his success in "The Passion of the Christ" stars in a film biography of the great Bobby Jones, golfing legend from the 1920's. Jim related the story how he came to Hollywood back in 1991 and worked watering to put food on the table. One of his first jobs was a fancy reception for the President. He was told not to mix with the guests but spotted Jimmy Stewart and asked to serve him a drink. After serving up a scotch and water, Jim was given some good advice from an old master, "Kid-if you make a movie, pick out a good one". Jim said he met with Mr. Stewart several more times over the years, but he remembered this advice and was always conscience to choose a good one. He plays one of the most gifted natural athletes the world has know, whose great talent earned him the reputation as one of the greatest golfers in history. As a youngster, his competitive zeal and talent propelled him into the national spotlight drawing huge crowds to his tournaments. His fiery temper and pressure from family, friends and press challenged him. We follow Bobby Jones through education, family life and see the integrity he exhibits as he balances his personal life and the national spotlight. A talented cast includes Jeremy Northam, Aidan Quinn and Malcolm McDowell. It is a great film and Bobby Jones will be remembered as the founder of the Augusta National Golf Club, which annually hosts the Masters.
