The Rock, Neal McDonough, Johnny Knoxville, and Kristen Wilson star in a remake of the 1973 film starring Joe Don Baker that has had 2 sequels. Special forces sergeant Chris Vaughn (The Rock) is coming home to Washington State after a long absence. He is shocked at what he sees. His beloved town has been ravished by poverty and corruption, its vital lumber mill is closed, and a crime-ridden casino is thriving. Chris's high school rival, Jay Hamilton (Neal McDonough), is the big stick in Ferguson, Washington. His wealth and influence is strong. The crooked Casino has even hired his old girlfriend, Deni (Ashley Scott). When Chris visits the Casino with some friends, he gets the tar beat out of him when he tries to break up a crooked crap game. After recovering, he enlists his friend Ray (Johnny Knoxville) to help him clean up the town. He grabs a big stick and fights overwhelming odds to do what is right. Johnny Knoxville offers a touch of humor as the two pair off against the crooks. Plenty of action here! David Bray directs.
