Johnny Depp is back in a Stephen King tale directed by David Koepp and produced by Gavin Polone. This thriller is about a successful author Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp), whose fiction begins to take on a life of its own. John Turturro, Maria Bello, Tomothy Hutton and Charles S. Dutton join Depp in a spooky thriller. Troubled by a messy divorce and suffering writers block, Mort encounters Shooter (Turturro) who accuses him of stealing his work. Things accelerate in a cat and mouse game and soon Mort fears for his life. In addition a bitter struggle ensues as his ex-wife tries to get the divorce papers signed. A typical Stephen King ending happens leaving the audience wondering what is going on. The actors carried this story and kept it interesting.
