| Bugs Bunny, Daffy, Elmer, Taz and all your Warner Bros. favorites are back with live actors Brendon Fraser, Jenna Elfman, Steve Martin, Timothy Dalton and Joan Cusack in an action flick that is full of fun. I have been an avid Warner Bros cartoon fan for a long time and enjoyed seeing all the characters in the forefront and in the background. Back in the early days Warner Bros. employed a veritable powerhouse of animation talent to bring the characters to life, led by such legends as Chuck Jones, Friz Freleng, Tex Avery, Bob Clampett and Bob McKimson, voice character legend Mel Blanc and musical director Carl Stalling. It was all the way back in 1930 that Looney Tunes, a series of animated film shorts, began under the guidance of producer Leon Schlesinger. The story involves Bugs and Daffy feuding over star status with Daffy getting the heave ho from Warner Bros. Jenna Elfman plays the executive who fires Daffy and Brendan Fraser is the security guard assigned to escort Daffy off the lot. After Daffy causes mayhem on the lot, Brenden is also fired and the two take off to save his father, a super spy played by Timothy Dalton who is in danger because of his knowledge of the "Blue Monkey Diamond", a powerful weapon. Steve Martin plays the evil head of Acme Corporation. The chase takes them all over the world with Bubs and Jenna Elfman in hot pursuit due to the studio's realization of how much they need Daffy back. A wild and zany chase ensues replete with many Warner Bros. cartoon characters everywhere. Come along and join the fun in this wild comedy. |
