On a Christmas Eve a long time ago, a small baby accidentally gets in one of Santa's bags (Ed Asner) and ends up in the North Pole where he is adapted by an elf (Bob Newhart). Will Ferrell plays the part of Buddy who grows into a very tall man and acts like an accident waiting to happen around Santa's workshop. He travels to New York City to find his biological parents where he runs into his father (James Caan). Buddy realizes his true mission is to spread cheer and happiness and try and instill in folks the real meaning of Christmas. This is a very good movie just perfect for the holiday season.
