Ready for a crime story set in lower Manhattan with steamy sex between Frannie Avery (Meg Ryan) and the detective Malloy (Mark Ruffalo)? Meg plays a romance-wary creative writing teacher, who gets very involved with the homicide detective investigating a murder in her neighborhood. Encouraged by her half-sister Pauline (Jennifer Jason Leigh), Frannie dives deeper into a heated relationship against the backdrop of unsolved murders. After a vicious attack by a masked assailant, Frannie trusts no one: Not her intense young student Cornelius (Sharrieff Pugh), Not her former boyfriend John Graham (Kevin Bacon), who follow her every move. And definitely not Malloy, who roused not only her passion but also her suspicions. Unable to ask for help, Frannie takes her situation into her own hands. Come see the movie to find out how all this ends up.
