| This Disney film is a celebration of brotherly love in many forms. Brother Bear takes place in the Pacific Northwest 10,000 years ago that weaves a mystical tale of three Native American brothers. Kenia (voiced by Joaquin Phoenix) is the youngest of the three. Through the magic of the Northern lights, the Great Spirits transform Kenai into a bear to teach him a lesson. From his new perspective, Kenai discovers the world through the eyes of another as a bear cub named Koda befriends him. He has a hilarious encounter with a pair of misguided moose, and finds himself pursued by his own sibling. A colorful cast of animals adds to the fun of this film. Phil Collins provides six new songs. Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker direct. Chuck Williams is the producer. Voice talent provided by Joaquin Phoenix, Jeremy Suarez, Jason Raize, D.B. Sweeney, Michael Clarke Duncan, Rick Moranis, and Dave Thomas. Disney's Florida animation studio that gave us Lilo & Stich does an outstanding job here. They do animation the old fashion way. For some reason about 27 minutes into the film, the normal size image goes to a wide screen format. Take the whole family, they are sure to enjoy this film. |
